Snow Day...
...Greg got a call this morning from his boss saying that schools were closed, roads were a mess and they were not going into work today. So we had a snow day and made brownies.
picking out the egg shells...

Greg gets as giddy as a child on Christmas Eve when he gets to make brownies

Caught ya all sneaking licks of the batter...except for Greg he goes for a spoon full right out of the pan.

This is what happens when you leave the brownies in reach of the kids, and we were so pleased that they were playing so nicely together in Skye's room.

and this is what our snow day looked like...did you also notice the nice sunshine coming in the windows while we were making the brownies? Honestly though the roads were pure ice sheets. We got the rain and then very cold temperatures the bit of snow was just for looks.

So Sunday and yesterday they kept threatening ("they" the weather people) with this huge storm that would last until Tuesday or Wednesday. So I'm thinking a lot of snow. The wind blew (which compared to growing up in South Weber was really nothing big) and it snowed for maybe 3 hours. And that was the HUGE snow storm they kept warning us about. I guess it's not Wednesday yet, so maybe it's still coming...
Yeah I was kinda disappointed with the little snow we got on our snow day. We are supposed to get snow every day up here and I think you do too...but those weather people are hardly right. I remember having a snow day in SW where the snow/drifts covered most of dad'd little blue truck, there was so much snow in the roads the plows couldn't get through and Joni and I were going to dig a tunnel from her house to ours across the road. We got maybe 5 feet in both directions before we were too cold, but that is what a snow day is:lots of snow!
Well, it snowed last night so the little bit of snow grew to a bit more. The roads were/are bad, but that's life!
